Older vehicles aretarget for thieves
POLICE are warning owners of older vehicles to take extra security precautions such as fitting a steering wheel lock or alarm.
The warning comes after a spate of thefts in the Hastings area where thieves appeared to deliberately target older vehicles because they lacked the security technology of more modern cars. Vehicles targeted had damage to their ignitions and steering columns.
