Oliver's musical fundraiser

Eleven year old Oliver March played violin outside Sainsbury's this week to raise funds for St Michael's Hospice.

He has played outside the supermarket previous years to raise money for Children In Need.

Oliver performed a variety of Christmas songs and carols, including his favourite War Is Over, and Winter Wonderland.

Oliver, a pupil at St Richard's college, has been learning piano and violin since he was six years old and completed grade 4 in violin and grade 3 in piano.

Mum Debbie, of Terminus Avenue, commented: "I play the piano, so it was natural that he might do that. Then he wanted to do violin, took it up and loved it immediately."
