OLYMPIC TORCH 7am: Battle and Rye are you ready for the torch?

IT’S the day after the night before for the Olympic flame as it begins day 61 of its epic 70-day, 8,000 mile nationwide journey from Hastings this morning.

After being paraded through the towns of East Sussex yesterday with thousands lining the streets on its route from Brighton through Royal Tunbridge Wells, Lewes, Eastbourne, Bexhill and St Leonards, before arriving at The Stade in Hastings in the evening, it’s a new day for the runners.

Last night, the torch relay culminated with a concert and celebration at The Stade with a performance by the Rizzle Kicks.
