As reported in the Herald last week, the winner of the scholarship was decided after a helicopter aptitude test between the two finalists.

Captain Ian McGregor, from Fast Helicopters, took Zoe and Natalie Starkey, from High Salvington, on a test last Tuesday.

Captain McGregor said: The standard was very high, they both did very well.

They both had some exposure to aviation before, even so they coped very well with the aircraft.

To get to point where they were able to almost hover it after 40 minutes with no experience is quite good.
