One person cut free from three-vehicle collision near Lewes

Firefighters were forced to cut one person free after a three-vehicle collision in Rodmell, near Lewes, yesterday evening (June 7).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of an RTC with one person trapped at around 7.15pm on Sunday, June 7.

Two appliances from Lewes and Newhaven, and one officer, attended the incident on Newhaven Road.

On arrival, crews found there to be three private vehicles that had been involved in a collision.

Firefighters released one person into the care of Sussex East Coast Ambulance Service, while four other people were treated by paramedics at the scene. Sussex Police also attended.

Crews made the vehicles and the area safe and left the scene at 8.08pm.
