One way to sort one way system in Bognor

Road signs could be installed to explain the voluntary one-way system around two Bognor Regis schools.

The idea is being pursued by PCSO Justina Baker after concerns from nearby residents about the congestion around Nyewood CoE infant and junior schools in Brent Road.

She says most of the problems at the school drop-off and pick-up times arise because many motorists are unaware of the one-way system which parents have agreed.

This operates between 8.30am-9.15am and 3pm-3.45pm on school days.

PCSO Mrs Baker is talking to county highways officers about the signs being installed at both ends of Amberley Drive. It is the only traffic route to the schools but also serves the surrounding housing.
