One year on but still no trace of mum and wife who went missing

MYSTERY still surrounds the disappearance of a Ferring mother-of-two, who has been missing for more than a year,

The last confirmed sighting of Elaine Taggart (49) of Ferringham Lane, was on January 3 2008.

Her red Fiat Punto was found in Goring Street, a short distance from Goring railway station and five minute's drive from her home on January 4.

Detective Chief Inspector Adam Hibbert, who is leading the investigation said: "Elaine's disappearance remains a mystery.

"Her two children have had to spend Christmas and the new year not knowing what has happened to her."
