Online investment service for Sussex entrepreneurs launches

The website enables firms to pitch business ideas via video chat to The Funding Room, a collective of experienced Sussex-based investors with a combined resource of £1m.

Initial investment from £5,000 up to £100,000 into a business start-up or a

company wanting second tier finance could be offered.

Phil Davies, a spokesperson for the group, said: “The Funding Room enables you to pitch to a local investor via an online video chat.

“The service boasts an investor portfolio that spans many industry sectors, so, no matter how obscure, all ideas may be considered. You select your investor and they are given the option to agree to meet – it’s as simple as that.”
