The Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare at Ringmer is hosting a special open day on Wednesday, August 28, from 12noon to 4pm.
It is being organised by young people working at the National Citizen Service (NCS), a five-week course that includes planning a social action project to support a charity.
Attractions being organised at Raystede will include a wide variety of stalls, face-painting, a cake sale and tombola.
All money raised through the NCS initiative will go towards helping the centre’s animals.
It costs more than £5,000 a day to run Raystede, which rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes animals and provides life-long sanctuary for thosewith nowhere else to go.
