Cycle Seahaven will celebrate the opening of the Big Park in Peacehaven with an organised off road ride on Saturday March 7.
All are welcome to take part in the 15 mile ride which will start and finish at the new cafe in the newly named Centenary Park.
The ride is for intermediate level cyclists and will involve a clockwise loop of Castle Hill Nature Reserve, picking up the South Downs Way at Kingston Ridge, a descent of Iford Hill and climbing back up Telscombe Road.
There will be rough trails on mud and grass, with some uneven sections on flint and chalk.
Riders should meet at the Big Park cafe in Piddinghoe Avenue at 10.30am for a bike check and registration. Wheels roll at 11am.
There are two steep climbs, both on quiet roads. Cycle Seahaven said the hilly 15 mile route should take about 2.5 hours.
This ride is suitable for mountain and hybrid bikes with knobbly tyres. Visit http://cycleseahaven.org.uk
