Book offers a fascinating insight into city's history
Even the most knowledgeable Cicestrians may be surprised and amused to read about the disgraceful conduct of the one-time cathedral organist, Thomas Weelkes; or of the malady identified by WH Hudson as ‘the Chichesters’; or of the ghostly goings-on in the Observer office at Unicorn House.
The book is rich in such gems, as well as covering more familiar ground. Beautifully bound, well illustrated and published at the price of a paperback, A Chichester Miscellany will surely cure anyone of the Chichesters.
