Bus cut aids parking

THE changes to the bus service have now been announced, resulting in Sunday being a bus-free day, the exception being the 50 to Graylingwell and 700 Coastliner.

It is now patently obvious that the district council have capitalised on this fact by bringing in car parking charges on this day.

Also with the loss of at least two car parks in Chichester and the number of cars rapidly multiplying as a result of the current house-building programme, isn’t it about time we followed the example of other more enlightened towns and cities by having a park-and-ride?
