Cash is for nursing
I WRITE firstly to thank Clare Hawkin for her sensitive article about my husband and the Jack Edmonds Memorial Fund for St Wilfrid's Hospice (Observer, October 27, p25) but feel I must correct a misunderstanding.
The target of £80,000 which the fund has set itself is to be invested to earn a sufficient income to pay for two hours of Hospice at Home nursing care a week in Jack’s name in perpetuity.
I would appreciate it if you could find space to publish this correction.
