11 years of caring for life-limited children

It seems incredible to think that Chestnut Tree House has just turned 11. It only seems like yesterday that we were celebrating our 10th birthday year with a huge range of activities and celebrations.

We have so many people to thank for supporting us not only this year, but since we opened in 2003.

Many businesses and organisations continue to choose to support us, either by making us their charity of the year, or by holding unique and exciting fundraising events in our name.

Schools, community groups and our Friends Groups across Sussex are always incredibly supportive and we are always thrilled to hear about the fun they have been having raising money for Chestnut Tree House.

To support Sussex’s only children’s hospice it’s not just about raising money – giving your time is just as valuable to us. We rely on a loyal band of volunteers both at the House and out in the community, and there are loads of other people who are fantastic ambassadors for us, telling people about the work of Chestnut Tree House, what we do and who we can help.

Getting our message out there is vitally important so that we can reach those families who need us most.

When we opened in 2003 we started caring for 30 children, now we have 300 children on our books, but there are many more we could be helping if funds allowed.
