First, a little about me. I am a Registered General Nurse and Paediatric Nurse and I have many years of nursing experience. I joined the In House Care Team at Chestnut Tree in January 2008. In 2011 I joined the Community Team and had a caseload of 20 children/young adults and families throughout Sussex.

I can honestly say I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my role at Chestnut Tree and am looking forward to developing the Community Service further, reaching out to more children and families who are in need of our support. The Chestnut Tree Community Team offers a very high standard of care and support throughout Sussex and Hampshire and I look forward to supporting them to continue this.

We have already strengthened the team in East Sussex, appointing 2 nurses and a Care Support Worker who are dedicated to caring for children and families in the county. We are aiming to double the number of children that we care for here and we plan to expand the Community Team as demand for our service increases.

I look forward to keeping you up to date with progress.
