Bodiam Village Voice

Geoffrey Goodsell. Levetts Lane, Bodiam.

I am told the Castle Inn bonfire and fireworks was a fantastic event - the best ever and Bodiam was absolutely packed. A big thank-you to everyone who made it such a good night.

We all need good news and I am told the Sunday and Bank Holiday bus service will resume on Sunday April 18 and will run until October 5 2014.

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on December 2 at 7pm in the Parish Room.

We have many famous people along to our meetings. We have myself and Graham and at one meeting we had Gordon our Vicar, who had a very good sleep, but at our next meeting we have the chairman of Rother District Council Ian Jenkins and the chief executive Malcolm Johnson, who is doing the job for one year.

It is a good way to get to know people.

I said in a past Village Voice not to post letters at the Levetts Lane post box. I have had a letter back from Royal Mail about some of my letters not reaching their destination and Royal Mail has logged and reported the full details of my complaint and passed these details to delivery operation and the Royal Mail security team.

They have asked me to fill a form in and I now have a customer service centre address and a phone number.

I am sure Bodiam had a letter from Rother Council who are introducing a paid for garden waste collection which costs £25 for the year. Please register for the new waste collection by January 2014.
