The Arun Counselling Centre (ACC) is seeking an experienced counsellor to lead the group as its director, this year.

The centre, which is based at Dove Lodge, in Beach Road, Littlehampton, offers counselling to any able to benefit from the process, regardless of their ability to offer a donation for the support.

They are looking for a volunteer director to head a well-established and active counselling centre, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), to be involved in the services offered by the group and work closely with the clinical director and administrative staff.

The role would also see the new director encouraging and supporting the centre’s volunteer staff.

The ACC offers a valued service to the community and the director is an essential part of the service when it comes to driving it forward.

Those seeking to become the group’s next director should have counselling or supervisory qualifications.

However, experience in other areas of mental health work could be considered.

Candidates should also have good interpersonal skills.

The position would come with a number of benefits.

They include working with other professional people – maintaining professional standards and supporting our clinical and administrative staff.

The post also holds a good degree of responsibility and has a great reputation with local GPs.
