JESUS was very clear as to His purpose for coming from heaven to earth.

He was a man with a mission from His Father, God Almighty.

He said that He had come to seek and to save those who were lost. He explained the value God placed on individual lives. God by His Holy Spirit continues to search for those who will respond positively towards His love and call.

The claim in the Bible that all mankind is spiritually lost is supported throughout history and in all cultures across the globe in the attempt to find God through old and new religions. Jesus commissioned His disciples to go into all the world and preach the Christian gospel, because God's favour to humanity is truly global.

All other world religions are a bottom up approach to finding God and personal identity. The truth is that God Himself took a top down approach, and sent Jesus and his Holy Spirit to find us.
