Observer Comment: EU funding plans kick in the teeth
ONE can't blame Rother's councillors for getting hot under the collar over central government's plans to increase funding to the EU.
MPs and possibly MEPs are going to be lobbied on this issue, which sparked some outrage at Monday’s full council meeting.
Considering the huge financial cuts Rother as a local authority is facing, and the fact the EU is slow to help out the UK in times of trouble, that must be one huge kick in the teeth.
