TECHNOLOGY: Changes to Facebook searches

Once the change has been fully activated, Facebook users will notice three big improvements in how they can search: personalised search suggestions, the ability to search posts shared publicly or by friends, and the ability to search for what people are saying about specific topics.
Before this, you could only use search to find results for pages, people, groups, events, apps or topics that are trending.

Facebook will now personalise search suggestions to help you find exactly what you are looking for and will highlight topics that are currently popular.
The search will also show up results that include relevant posts from your friends.
Facebook will still respect your existing privacy settings and won’t show anything that wasn’t already available to friends.
