The Windows 10 upgrade arrived back in the summer and there have been lots of questions around whether or not users should follow suit.

There are plenty of reasons to embrace it, including the free upgrade offer to existing Windows users within the first year.

It also has many new features and system improvements, as well as the return of the Start Menu, that combines modern style with essential functionality and familiarity.

However, we do advise Windows 7 users take caution.

Windows 10 has been known to cause issues with older machines, and until Microsoft have resolved these problems we recommend sticking with your current installation.

For those who have already taken the leap to Windows 10, it is possible to revert back to your original installation within 30 days of upgrading, provided the original system files have not been removed.

If you do have a new machine and decide to upgrade, Windows 10 will preserve your personal data and the majority of your installed applications.

Please be aware that, as with any operating system installation, a full backup of your data should be made before you begin either an upgrade or downgrade.
