Top marks for village primary school

THOSE who say they want to read more good news stories should be pleased with our lead story this week.

Catsfield Primary School has completed a remarkable transformation from a school that could easily have slid into trouble to one that has been rated outstanding in all areas and is leading the way in East Sussex.

That is no easy thing in the current climate of more rigorous and tougher inspection requirements.

It is a great example of what can be achieved when a community, however small, works together with purpose and vision.

Speaking to head Sally Clark this week, it was impossible not to be inspired by her infectious enthusiasm and excitement and she was quick to acknowledge the great joint effort. We are proud to run this story on our front page this week and help the school celebrate.
