The organisation, based at the Rudford Industrial Estate, in Ford, provides vital transport links for hundreds of elderly and disabled people across the Arun district.

Since its launch in 1996, the charity estimates it has helped almost 9,200 clients, with about 1,200 currently on the cause’s books.

It is looking for more volunteer drivers to join its fleet by either using their own vehicles or by driving one of the project’s minibuses.

The group is also looking for trustees to help run the service, with people with an interest in fundraising being particularly useful.

Event helpers are needed to support the British Heart Foundation’s fundraisers.

The foundation funds more than 60 per cent of cardiac research in the UK – research which has led to a significant reduction in the number of people dying from heart disease. Events helpers are needed to support local, annual money-raising events for the foundation. Activities could range from marshalling at events and helping to put up signs, to cheering at finishing lines, handing out refreshments or signing up people to take on new challenges in aid of the charity,

Leaders are needed for a walking group in Littlehampton. The healthy walks in Arun programme, run by Inspire Leisure, offers tailor-made treks for people of all ages and abilities. Leaders would need to arrange routes, with commitment being as little as one hour a week or month.
