Volunteering isn’t all about giving, you can gain lots from it as well.
Whether that is new skills and experiences, a new social group or just using your time productively, volunteering can be really rewarding, and just as importantly, really enjoyable.

Seasonal assistant groundsperson – Littlehampton Sportsfield Trust
The Littlehampton Sportsfield Trust aims to create, develop, coordinate and promote opportunities for all the community to participate in sport, physical activity and recreation leading to an improved quality of life, health, social and emotional wellbeing.
It is looking for volunteers to assist their groundsman with the maintenance of the facilities and help to ensure that they remain at a high standard for the use and enjoyment of all.

Hide AdDuties might include: pitch rolling, grass cutting, strimming and hedge trimming, plus other seasonal work.

Volunteer stewards at Arundel Sponsored Walk – Aldingbourne Trust
The Aldingbourne Trust is dedicated to helping local businesses, communities and people with learning disabilities to reach their potential and enjoy life, together.

Hide AdIt needs more stewards who would be able to stand on route for three and eight-mile walks on Saturday, May 20, from 9am to 2pm.
They are needed to assist walkers with directions and also keep a record of which walkers have been passed their check point.
As soon as all walkers have been passed they would be welcome to come and join the group at the car park for a barbecue, or they may prefer to bring along a picnic.

Curriculum support – Arundel C of E School
Arundel C of E School needs adults with special knowledge of topics the school uses in lessons to bring learning alive.

Hide AdVolunteers will be assigned a teacher/class exploring a particular topic and together they will tailor the volunteer opportunity; approximately an hour a week.
You must have a warm personality with the ability to engage small children in conversation, good listening skills, the ability to work closely with teachers/teaching assistants and the head teacher, a good sense of humour, a good understanding of the ethos of the school and be reliable.
You must be over 18 for this role.

Volunteer member – Littlehampton and District Lions Club
The aim of the Littlehampton and District Lions Club is to help people of all ages who are less fortunate than themselves through a wide variety of fundraising events and some hands on projects.
It needs to recruit some new members to bolster its membership.

Hide AdMembers would be required to assist at local fundraising events throughout the year, such as fetes, carnivals and Christmas collections.
No experience is required, you just need to have a caring nature and a good sense of humour.
