Honorary secretary and membership secretary – League of Friends, Zachary Merton Community Hospital

The League of Friends at Zachary Merton Community Hospital is looking for an honorary secretary and membership secretary to help with the administration of the organisation.

The honorary secretary will prepare and circulate agendas, and take minutes, for committee meetings and the annual meeting, and assist with the preparation of a newsletter four times a year.

The membership secretary role involves the maintenance of up to 120 to 130 membership records.

Duties will include receiving new and renewal membership forms, entering details on register, issuing membership cards, banking subscriptions and attending committee meetings.

Shop assistant (Rustington and Littlehampton) – Link to Hope

Link to Hope is a Christian charity based in Worthing, established since 1991, which rebuilds lives and communities in eastern Europe through social care and education projects.

The charity is looking for volunteers to work as part of a warm, welcoming team in its shops in Rustington and Littlehampton.

There are a number of roles within the shop, so whether you have budding creative skills for displaying and making up outfits, or have a passion for books, music or china, preparing and merchandising all types of stock as well as serving and talking to customers, it all goes towards the overall goal of raising funds.

Treasurer – Reaching Families

Reaching Families has an exciting opportunity for an experienced financial manager to join a rapidly growing organisation supporting families of children with special educational needs and disabilities in West Sussex.

An experienced and knowledgeable treasurer is required to work with the project manager and trustees in overseeing the financial management and ongoing sustainability of the charity.

Specific duties will include financial forecasting, overseeing policy and monitoring of financial procedures and ensuring compliance with the Charity Commission and Companies House accountancy requirements.

Royal Voluntary Service volunteers support thousands of older people every day to stay independent in their own home.

Good neighbours and befriending volunteers are needed to visit older people at home and tasks may include carrying out safe, warm and well checks; chatting and offering regular friendly, social contact; post office or prescription collections; assisting with shopping or food preparation; providing transport; general household jobs and helping the older person to access other services if necessary.

This is an ideal opportunity if you want to make new friends, to develop your skills and experience and contribute to the work of the charity by enriching the lives of older people and helping them get the best from life.
