Distorting responses

Following your article regarding the visit by Phil Graham (Arun's Marketing, Filming and Events Officer) to local schools to encourage and assist students to fill in the Arun Leisure Strategy forms by offering inducements of £100 vouchers and a free draw for an iPod, this reinforces our belief the forms are biased towards the sale of Swansea Gardens bowling green and tennis courts.

We believe this an underhand tactic by Arun District Council to add weight to their campaign and distort the results of the responses, as this part of the community has no interest in the facilities at Swansea Gardens.

Arun District Council, spending taxpayers’ money by going into schools, offering inducements to benefit their ideals, is more than underhand – it once again undermines the older people in our community.
