District council is not considering Ford

Cllr Ricky Bower’s letter, published last week, could lead people to believe that Chichester District Council is considering Ford near Arundel, as a possible location.

Although his letter recognises that the comments were made by a Chichester City Councillor, there is an implication that this is an option that has been considered by the District Council.

I am at a loss to understand how Cllr Bowers could make such an inference, as this is not the case and would not be an appropriate way forward.

We would not expect another council to do the job tasked to us and would only expect their comments if engaged in consultation with us.
