VILLAGE OF SANCTUARY: Conversations with Refugees. The next event takes place tomorrow, Saturday, at 2pm in the village hall. There is no better way of understanding an issue than listening to those with lived experience. This is an opportunity to talk to individuals and learn about the journeys that they have navigated physical, bureaucratic and psychological, in search of sanctuary here in the UK. Come along to hear their tales, of both welcome and rejection, and understand the everyday reality of life as a refugee in this country. This will be chance to hear, meet, share and converse with a few refugees who have also experienced detention. For more information and tickets (£5, tea and cake provided) please visit http://www.villageofsanctuary.net/ category/events/ or call Katherine on 01825 840323 or Barbara on 01825 873337.
