RACE NIGHT: You are invited to a race night in the village hall on Saturday April 6 at 7pm for a 7.30pm start, in aid of St Wilfred’s Hospice Eastbourne. Tickets are £12.50 to include a supper (vegetarian option provided) and are available from the Village Stores and the King’s Head.

SPRING SHOW: The Village Show Society spring show will take place on Saturday April 6 in the village hall. Come and enter your spring flowers, flower arrangements, cookery, handicrafts and photography. Great fun for all and children’s classes included. The hall opens at 8.30am for setting up of exhibits, the hall then closes at 10.30am for judging. At 1.30pm the hall reopens for public viewing. At around 3.30pm awards will be made, the raffle drawn, and there will be an auction of produce. Admission is 50p and refreshments will be available. EASTER LILIES: Would you like to dedicate a lily to remember a loved one at Easter? The lilies cost £4 and will be part of the floral decorations in the church over Easter. There will be a list of dedications made at the front of the church. Forms are available form the church, the Village Stores and the parish magazine. Forms must be returned by April 5, together with payment. If you have any questions please call Sally Clarke on 01825 840977 for more details.

SPRING CLEAN UP: On Saturday April 13 between 10am and noon there will be a village clean up. All welcome. Litter pickers, bags and gloves will be provided, but please bring along cloths, gloves and buckets for sign cleaning, and wear bright clothing. LENT LUNCHES: Would you like a meal in exchange for a donation to the host’s chosen cause? The next two lunches are on Wednesday April 3 and Friday April 12, both at 2pm.
