Grateful to Anne for driving bus campaign

I READ with interest the letter from Ken Carr (Herald, April 22) regarding the Compass bus service for North Lancing residents.

I am sure Ken will join me in recognising the input by the late Anne Addison from North Lancing, who campaigned to get this bus running to Lancing after the closure of our post office in Mill Road.

Residents have a lot to thank Anne for. She worked tirelessly for our community or supporting individuals on many causes without seeking any personal recognition for her Herculean efforts on whatever projects she was undertaking.

When we hear the Compass No. 106 coming down Mill Road, we often say: "Here comes Anne's bus." Good on you, Anne, we need many more unsung heroes like you.
