I despair

I have flogged my way through the Draft Local Development Plan, which is frankly, 350 pages of politicians and planners obfuscation. In order to try and establish some facts, I attended what was called a '˜consultation event' in Aldingbourne today. It was supported by one ADC councillor and a planning officer. The councillor couldn't shed any real light as he was on a planning committee and would end up with a conflict of interest if he gave any opinions.

The planning officer played a completely ‘dead bat’ when asked any questions.

If this is the standard of the consultative process on what is a major disruption to peoples lives, then I despair that the whole shambles will be steamrollered through, regardless of public feelings.
