Is new road needed?

This is obviously being considered, so as to make the holding company a far greater profit, because at this moment with no or little access to the site it is worth very little.

They say it will be to enable traffic into the estate of small factories and warehouses – why?

At present the whole area has no need for further empty buildings in the Bognor area; if anyone needs this type of building, why not try the Durban Road area (plenty here)?

There are a few other considerations that need to be made!

The area is very pleasant to the eye and indeed a very pleasant walk. Both will be destroyed with this road. What damage will be done to the wildlife in the area?

It will obviously affect the playing pleasure of the golf course with vehicles travelling up and down the road during the day or early evening, as I can’t see the drivers acting in a courteous manner to the course players.

Finally, what consideration has been given to our Eastern European visitors in the campsite at the rear of the now Sainsbury’s – are they

to be moved on and rehoused in

the area?

Before this is done, the site will, I believe, have to be cleaned up and decontaminated and perhaps sealed off to the public as it should have been previously.

Surely if this estate has to be built, which I would have thought doubtful, why could access not be made from the A29 area or off the trading estate at the back of the empty Widley buildings?

Any consideration been given to alternative uses?

-Ice rink

-Sports pitches

-Multi-screen cinema

-Mountain bike track

-Sports hall

-Sports track

In fact anything to enhance the area, rather than make this company a large profit while creating another eyesore for Bognor Regis.

You will note I didn’t suggest an Asda – but that could be a thought.
