It would be great to meet again

I'M hoping that by my writing this letter to you, I will be able to contact a lady who I met whilst on a coach going to Dover on 29th December 2007.

I was going to Brussels for a New Year break, she was going to Ostend. We joined the same coach and got on so well, chatting all the way.

She was a very pleasant lady about my age (early pensioner) and we had both booked with Ledger Holidays.

We seemed to have lots in common.

We boarded the ferry together and bought a drink and also met up with another young lady who would be going my way to Brussels.

My friend then had to leave us to go with her party who were going eventually to Ostend for New Year.

That was the last I saw of her.

I enjoyed my holiday and hope she did also.

Anyway, after a few days I was coming home on the ferry from Brussels (Calais '“ Dover 2nd Jan 2008) and though I might see her but no.

Then, when it was time to get on the coaches, different buses were allocated.

Arriving in Worthing, I had to change to a smaller vehicle which bought me back to Rustington.

We got to traffic lights and I noticed a lady was waving and gesticulating to me and the driver.

Unfortunately, the lights changed and we had to go on.

I believe it could have been the lady I'd chatted to while on the coach from Worthing to Calais, trying to tell me it was her and that she lived near to where we had stopped for a while at the lights (she was in a car).

Would you believe it, I cannot remember her name and I don't know if she remembers mine (Jill).

Our lives seemed to have been led on the same parallels and I would love to get back in touch with her.

She was of slight build, short, sandy coloured hair and wore glasses.

A very chatty, friendly lady and we did say that we would meet up afterwards.

We were both on singles holidays, had grown up children and she was from Worthing.

I am writing to your paper hoping there may be a very slim chance that she may read this letter and reply.

I do hope so; I would love to meet her again.

I do feel silly that we didn't exchange telephone numbers (too busy talking) and that her name escapes me.
