Leave our lovely park alone

Why is Hastings council hell-bent on opening cycle paths in our lovely park?

Currently there is a small minority who consider it their right to ride their bikes around the park and woe betide any pedestrian who gets in their way.

Our lovely park was designed with the idea that it should be a place of relaxation, where one could wander and see a diversity of wildlife, floral gardens , areas where various activities could take place.

Like fishing , country fairs and festivals.

Also areas where a Remembrance Garden and a War Memorial can be visited in celebration of those who gave their lives.

The idea of cyclists flashing past with no thought of celebrating what is a place of outstanding beauty, a place to be savoured with its great Rose Garden amongst its many features causes great concern, an oasis in the middle of our busy town should be given consideration.

The pavements in our town are already used as cycle tracks where pedestrians are treated as the enemy. So leave our lovely park alone.
