LETTER: Action to save pleasant road

Burford Road originally had a pleasant look in Horsham with its patches of green grass on one side between the pavement and road.

Sadly, the green lawns have been transformed into wet, untidy brown rectangles of deep rutted mud.

Even that remaining mud is now being transferred to the road and pavement by vehicles constantly being parked by inconsiderate drivers making it a muddy walk home! No longer is Burford Road a pretty place! It seems to me that there is a choice of two possible necessary improvements:

1. Tarmac the mud patches, making the road wider and the pavement cleaner.

2. Keep the lawns but line the edges next to the kerb with concrete posts or large rocks to prevent parking and re-sew the grass.

Either of these would greatly improve the appearance of the road without being on the scale of West Street improvements.

How do the people of Burford Road view this please?
