LETTER: Capacity will have to increase

So Gatwick does not get government approval, my elation over the EU referendum result has been diminished.

The NIMBYs have not quite won the day though because I reckon that by the time the the Heathrow expansion crew have finally got their master programme sorted the whole project will be so far over budget that Gatwick will be laying foundations and planning take off paths over Horsham.

Gatwick will have to have its capacity increased in the very near future whether we like it or not, it’s called progress.

More sadness over leaving the EU though, because I also reckon that by the time the politicians have finally decided what their interpretation of leaving the EU actually means, the Hinkley Point Power Station will have been built.
