LETTER: Car thefts are bigger issue

I have just read with interest your report of a gang stealing BMWs.

Our BMW was stolen in mid-August from Hurstpierpoint with exact same MO, 3-4am, car taken without breaking any glass, keys locked indoors. Police closed the case very quickly as there was no evidence for them to investigate further, but I am now concerned that this is a bigger issue than just our car being taken, and police need to do more to address potential problem.
