LETTER: Coping with clinical waste

As a Neighbourhood Watch member it's become increasingly clear that some elderly people or disabled are not always aware of the free service our council has organised for us for the collection of clinical waste.

This is a free service and has been sublet to Medisort.co.uk or telephone 01903 719646. You need to contact these people direct and they will send a letter to with the collection arrangements and other information.

This service does not appear to be common knowledge and I found it difficult to find out all the details easily.

This system of course will help stop these items going into our open waste system and would be incinerated to decrease the problem.

So far the other item to be dealt with is nappies but in these modern times this also could be dealt with.

I am hoping our paper will take this on board and publish this.
