LETTER: Driving too fast on rural lanes

I read with interest your letters about road users other than cars. I would not limit the comments just to horse riders but walkers and animals, especially those with dogs.

I find it beyond belief that the inconsiderate and ignorant drivers, when passing the above, continue at their fast speed on the lanes.

We do not have a footpath in Copsale yet some some drivers seem to delight in how fast they can drive past one, all it needs is for someone to trip or a dog to see a rabbit on the other side of the road and the driver if going fast would not be able to stop.

People and animals were here far before the car yet some drivers seem to have a personality change when behind the wheel of a car.

Are they ignorant road users or just stupid drivers?

This is not aimed at all drivers, just the very inconsiderate ones.

So please drive in a manner that you can stop quickly if you should need to do so then we can all feel safe.
