LETTER: Fire service were polite and efficient

I had a nice plan worked out for The New Year but it was not to be.

Last Sunday at about 8pm water came pouring through my bathroom ceiling. I raced up to the flat above but could not get an answer. Apparently the flat owner was away in Iceland. So in desperation l called 999 for Burgess Hill Fire Brigade.

They arrived quickly and they soon stopped the water coming through my ceiling. They checked the other flats, they were polite and very efficient at their work. So I would like to thank Burgess Hill Fire Brigade for their excellent service.
