LETTER: Govia would be long gone

Maria Caulfield clearly does not know Norman Baker very well, if she can describe the effect of Lewes' best ever MP as neglect.

She might serve her constituents better if she got something done about Southern Rail rather than having endless meetings with ministers of her own party. The very welcome news of the re-establishment of services to Seaford does not seem to have anything to do with her efforts. If Norman were still at Transport, I dare say Govia would be long gone.

And she might do well to consider the current neglect of the constituency with social care in crisis, local people being priced out of housing, education in dire straits and roads full of potholes as the result of neglect by the (Conservative County) Council and the (Conservative) government.
