LETTER: Great staff do excellent job

I was delighted to read in the March 24 paper that Horsham District's leisure centres are to have their management contracts extended to 2027.

Places for People (formerly DC Leisure) have been doing a fine job of managing the centres for many years now, so it’s good news that this will continue.

I’m a regular user of the Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre on Mondays and Thursdays for the 50+ activities and I can’t speak too highly of the great team of people who work there.

From the people on reception to the backroom office staff; the trainers, coaches and instructors and on through to the staff who do a fantastic job catering in the café, they are all a great crowd who are unfailingly welcoming, helpful, cheerful and professional.

It can’t have been easy for them over recent years when the future of the leisure centre was in grave doubt.

Nevertheless they have carried on doing their very best for the clients. Long may it continue.
