LETTER: Interesting day

Just thought I would write and praise our lovely Lewes Victoria Hospital.

I went to their “open day” last Saturday for a tour of the hospital. I didn’t realise there were so many different departments, with operating theatre, recovery unit, X-ray and bone scanners, physio, minor injury unit and several others.

It was a most enjoyable and fascinating experience.

There were also books of old photos showing life at the hospital during the sixties and seventies, etc, up to the present day – very interesting to see behind the scenes.

The staff were all very friendly and informative, even the tea ladies! We should all be very proud and lucky to have such a lovely hospital in Lewes, which has served tens of thousands over the years, and may it continue the good work they do.
