LETTER: To leave or not to leave?

To leave or not to leave? Following the successful hustings for the General Election last year, Churches Together in the Lewes Area have arranged a panel of people from a cross section of the community, invited to speak objectively about the European Union in the context of the forthcoming Referendum.

We feel that after the Referendum is over we shall all have to live together whichever way we voted, and it is important to have some understanding of the opposite point of view.

We also hope that people who have not made up their minds yet, or who feel they don’t know enough to vote, will join us.

The panellists are not politicians but members of our local community. They are Michael Kennedy Q.C. (chair), Peter Holmes, Michael Johnstone, Rob Parsons, George Thurley, and Richard Vogler.

‘To Leave or not to Leave?’ will be held at the King’s Church, Brooks Road, Lewes on Thursday, May 26; 7.15 for 7.30 p.m. Those attending may submit questions in advance to me at [email protected] before May 24.
