LETTER: Lidl would also work well in Piries Place

I read your article about Lidl and would agree that it would be great to have a new food store in the former '˜Dreams' site in Horsham but equally I think a food shop would also be fantastic in the old '˜Waitrose' unit.

I went into Piries Place the other day and it is like a ghost town - I really don’t think that a new Art house type cinema offering will bring this area back to life.

The town feels very split now - all the major food shops are located over to the west side which now necessitates a car journey to me and many others.

Often I don’t bother going in to town any more and shop more locally instead in the likes of the Co-op in Roffey and do everything else online. Shame really.
