LETTER: No choice but to leave the EU

Further to recent letters in the WSCT, regarding our EU membership.

It is interesting to contrast the principles behind the US Constitution, with those driving the EU.

The US Constitution is designed to enable the states to hold government to account, whilst EU Treaties allow un-elected officials to ride roughshod over its states.

Sadly EU officials have become so used to their unbridled power, that they are not minded to reform.

Indeed, since they make the law, they have little interest in what our Parliament might decide.

So since they won’t relinquish their ever-tighter stranglehold, we surely have little choice but to leave the EU.
