LETTER: Ongoing problem

Over the years, through the County Times, I have tried to raise the questions on how to access our hospitals by public transport.

It was interesting therefore to read that this problem is still ongoing, keeping in mind not everybody uses the internet or has transport or friends readily available.

Having tried through our local councillors to organise a comprehensive schedule through our council this did not reach any conclusion.

Not only is it about the costs but how to even reach these important places by public transport.

A while back you kindly published my detailed information on how to get to East Surrey Hospital giving information of bus changes etc, and approximate time involved.

Could we once again try to instigate this schedule to include East Surrey, Haywards Heath, Worthing, Brighton, Chichester, East Grinstead for eyes, Guildford, Mitcham, etc.

I am hoping through this publication that perhaps a school or college could take on board this project.

This I feel could be an excellent opportunity to help the local community.
