The article refers to HDC’s ‘Place Plan’ and a ‘town centre vision’.

HDC has employed consultants to assess various aspects of the town and we look forward to seeing the outcome of this work.

As the Neighbourhood Forum for the town, we welcome any steps towards improving Horsham as that is our main objective.

However, it should be emphasised that as HDC has designated Horsham Blueprint Neighbourhood Forum as the recognised body for the neighbourhood plan for the unparished area, planning policies for this area are the Forum’s responsibility.

Any outcomes and submissions from our consultation and engagement with the community will be put to the residential and business community for approval during the plan preparation and the referendum.

This would include the work from HDC’s consultants. If anyone needs further clarification of this, there is guidance available from many organisations such as the National Association of Local Councils.
