LETTER: Project Fear from council

It can hardly be surprising that a Lib Dem council have followed the same route of their masters, leader Fallon, ex-leader Clegg and all other parliamentary members of the party, in using this Project Fear tactic with the object of persuading the Eastbourne public that they should be authorised to sell the downland farms.

Their presentation in the Eastbourne Review was utterly pathetic failing completely to set out a fair and reasonable summary of the position. I feel sure that the borough council will next quote the arrogant words of Blair and tell us that we, the residents, just do not understand.

The problem for the council is that we understand only too well.
