LETTER: Saves who £500,000?

The cut in library hours saves £500 000. Saves who £500,000?

Rent payers, council tax payers, paid for a service that is now reduced by half a million pounds.

Will that amount now be redistributed to their accounts? Of course not. The amount will be carried away and re-syphoned through to central government and then on to the bank balances of the 3,000 people that effectively own and control our society.

In other words, the local council acts as the robbers who take from the ordinary and redistribute to the extraordinary (financially speaking).

Shall we rename our elected ‘representatives’ Hood Robin? Robin Hood back to front?
